Who wants to go to Ragunan, the Jakarta’s zoo? None. Oooohh finally I found one of my friends willing to go the zoo too: Berti. So, we met around 7.30 am at Transjakarta bus station in front of Landmark building.
We arrived at the zoo around 8 am. The zoo is already opened at 7 am. Most people on the zoo at that time were there to do jogging. We were there for biking and taking pictures. There’s a rental bikes right after the zoo’s entrance door. They rent the bike for Rp10,000/hour. It’s a great place for biking with its street and trees along the way. You can have a stop to take a look at the animals.
Biking is also a good way to roam around the zoo since it is quite vast. We saw giraffe, orangutans, white tigers, honey bears, elephants, camels, and birds. Taking pictures of animals is as difficult as taking pictures of children. They always move around. Could you please stand still for a moment and give us a good pose for the camera? That’s my mind talking.
At that time, most of the animals were having their breakfast. The white tiger caretaker offered us to go inside near the tiger’s cave. What for? For seeing the tigers have their breakfast? No way!! After almost two hours biking, I still haven’t had any breakfast since I woke up this morning. I could easily envy to the tiger. So, we had to miss the opportunity of seeing the white tiger having their breakfast closer. The caretaker has been working in the zoo from the 1980s.
Instead, at 10 am, we went to a food stall to have a plate of instant noodle and chocolate milk. A lot of people were coming to the zoo at this hour. It would be difficult to speed up the bike when a lot of people, especially children, are there. I love the zoo more in the morning. But next time, I should have a breakfast first, so I could peacefully watch the animals having their breakfast.
Lha kok ujung-ujungnya berakhir di Indomie juga, hahahaha...
